I Predict

After countless hours of quantitative calculations using polydynamic quadrant scales and qualitative analysis of triannual branding trends over the past two fiscal quarters, my research has predicted that Ben & Jerry's Neapolitan Dynamite ice cream will outsell all their other flavors combined.

Okay, I didn't do that much work. But have you seen it? It's Cherry Garcia and Chocolate Fudge Brownie, spooning together inside the pint. Grab a friend, it's bound to lead to things other than an empty pint.

I just noticed this flavor is almost two years old. Goes to show how often I pick out ice cream. I just discovered Cherry Garcia about a month ago, too.

Cherry Garcia is one of my faves. I never get ice cream (thankfully) unless my wife coerces me to go get some. This sounds REALLY yummy!

Well, our first major parting of ways.

While I do sometimes enjoy ice cream, I just can't seem to enjoy chocolate ice cream. Nor Cherry Garcia.

I'd profess my love for a simple vanilla that's usually associated with BORING personalities.

Sometimes, I'm just boring. I'm not sure it can be helped.

Lynch - Haagen-Dazs Coffee has been my only flavor for years, but when it started to go bad in the freezer, I knew it was time to find something new. I like CG, but I eat around the chocolate chunks. Neapolitan Dynamite is good for us because Robin eats all the chocolate parts and I eat the cherry part.

R - Finally, thank God something boring about you. I needed a break!

I don't like chocolate ice cream either. Or chocolate in general. I really wish I did. There's some great stuff out there. I recently tried to like it and sampled some high end chocolates. But I gave up after recognizing that I was forcing myself to eat chocolate and pretending to like it.

I'm not one to finish a pint, but I like to sample. I've been meaning to get an ice cream maker so I can make less-sweet ice cream. I could probably eat more of it if it didn't give me an instant sugar headache.

*laugh* I should whip out the boring more often.

I'm not that big of a fan of chocolate, either. However, I will say that I learned the value of milk chocolate frosting on yellow cake. That stuff is awesome.

I know you're not big into the whole Sweets thang (why are we even friends???) But, Girl - Chunky Monkey is goooood. I'm one of those weirdos that likes banana flavored things. And it has chocolate and walnuts. Me like!

Have you seen the itsy bitsy tiny B & J containers they sell now? Perfect for the kidlets. It even comes with a built in spoon!

WTF is polydyamic quadrant scales, Miss Smarty Pants?
:)
Thanks for your nice comment on The Absurdity of Winning...

Amy - I'm afraid of banana-flavored things, but I'd sample your Chunky Monkey if you were eating it. ;-)

Yes, I've seen the cute little B&J containers. The kids thought they were super fun when we got them. I'll have to get some more to use as bribes.

I have no idea what the first paragraph of this post means. The words just sounded appropriate. :-)

I don't get people who don't like chocolate. I'm sorry, I don't. Also, I don't understand how ice cream can go bad in the freezer; mine never lasts that long. A pint of Phish Food (my fav B&J flavor because it has all the little dark chocolate fish in it, and I am a pescetarian after all) is lucky to see the inside of my freezer before seeing the inside of my garbage can. Needless to say I don't buy ice cream often. Though I will admit that my all time favorite ice cream is Daiquiri Ice from Baskin Robbins.
Despite my adoration of chocolate, I wouldn't say I was a sweet rather than salty person. Oh no. I prefer my sweet and savories in perfect balance.

I know, Em. I'm so very sorry about the chocolate thing.

Somehow Robin never seemed to mind my defect.
